Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 5.0 / 5 from 31 reviews.

Items were well packed and arrived on time. Only been using the universal cleaner for a couple of weeks so far I’ve found it easy to mix/use and it does the job it was intended for. I’ve used it on kitchen worktops, sink, bins & also the bathroom so far. Can only trust the wee probiotics are doing their job as you can’t see them. I can definitely say there’s no smell from the sink or bins it cleaned the kitchen sink a treat left it nice & shiny. My next purchase will be the Laundry detergent & hand & body wash. I have no pets so can’t comment on that area. What I would say is as they have it for your pets. I hope they develop a fluoride sls free probiotic mouth rinse & toothpaste (for humans of course)that would be awesome 🤩

Probiotic Universal Cleaner Concentrate

Although I haven’t been using this very long, I’ve used it on pretty much everything so far. It leaves the house smelling fresh, not overpowering like toxic brands. A huge bonus is that I know it’s not harmful to my cats when they clean their paws. I’ve since ordered a few more products from here, very happy thank you.

What I would really appreciate is a full instruction sheet on the many ways the universal cleaner can be used. It's all guess work for me really and I haven't got a pet. I bought it for general use in my home

Carole H. 4/5 Verified

Probiotic Universal Cleaner Concentrate

Store owner replied: Hi Carol Thank you for your review and for the really helpful feedback. You’re absolutely right – the Universal Cleaner has so many different uses that we need to make the guidance clearer. And you certainly don’t need to have a pet to use it! For general cleaning around the home, you can use it on kitchen and bathroom surfaces, tiles, windows, mirrors and other washable surfaces, as well as bins, floors, patios, outdoor furniture, artificial grass, sports equipment, and inside and outside your car. For everyday cleaning, an easy option is to make up a 500ml trigger spray. Fill a clean spray bottle with 500ml of hand-warm water, add one capful of Universal Cleaner and shake gently. Spray lightly onto surfaces and wipe with a cloth. For bigger jobs, such as floors and outdoor areas, use 50–100ml in 10 litres of warm water. You can reduce the quantities proportionately if you need less – for example, 25–50ml in 5 litres. Use the higher amount for dirtier or more heavily soiled areas. Thank you again for raising this – it’s really useful feedback and we’ll use it to improve the information we provide. In the meantime, if you have any questions about a particular surface or how to use the cleaner, please email us at support@ingenious-probiotics.com and we’ll be very happy to help.

Very early days ,but so far I have been very pleased with the products

First time buying this universal cleaner and very happy with it. Have used in kitchen and bathroom and a little goes a long way. It needs diluting and the spray bottle that I purchased separately from I.P works well.

Customer photo review of Probiotic Universal Cleaner Concentrate

I have been very pleased with the products I've been using, I bought the spray bottle, so easy to mix warm water and measure product in measuring cup provided, quick shake and off you go. Although the product isn't perfumed it leaves my home feeling and smelling fresh and clean. Think it will also be economical as only a small amount is needed and bottle will keep for 6 months after opening. I read that it was suitable for cleaning cars so thought I'd give it a go, very pleased with the result 😊

I've been using more environmentally friendly cleaners for the last 4 years, but I have to say this is the best I've tried, and I will be sticking with it. Considering how little you need its good value for money. I've used it on the kitchen worktops, cupboard fronts, bathroom, cooker, fridge, dog crate, even the bannister rail, and everything is spotless. No overpowering smell, just fresh and clean.

I just wanted to thank you so much for my order, and including the spray bottle, which I had forgotten to add! I used the product for the first time today, and was extremely impressed. I loved the subtle minty scent, and what struck me immediately was how the product didnt have the overwhelming fumes that can make your throat burn and your chest feel tight! Even better, the product does a great job at leaving my bathroom clean and sparkly. My Daughter and I were at the talk at the Border Terrier Welfare event in the Autumn. She has been nagging me ever since to try your cleaning spray, as she worries so much about how our dogs could be affected by supermarket cleaning products.

Store owner replied: Hi Joanne - Thank you so much for your lovely review and recommendation. It really means a lot to us 💚

I am very pleased that I was recommended to use ingenious probiotics products. To date I have used Floor cleaner, Surface Cleaner, Universal Cleaner, Toiler Cleaner and Dish Wash. I have found all products of benefit in order to keep our and pets environment clean and chemical free. I am gradually phasing out mainstream cleaning products. I am currently using Universal Cleaner for dogs dishes and utensils. Lather is minimal yet effective in its cleaning. I may revert to the dish wash when it becomes available again. Customer Service very helpful in assistance with product selection. Highly recommend their products.

Customer photo review of Probiotic Universal Cleaner Concentrate

An absolute must for cleaning and clearing bad bacteria. I am confident by practical experience and observation that there is never any regrowth of bad bacteria if used every day on raw dog food prep areas as it has a 3 day cleansing buffer. Perfect! The clean kitchen genious!! Before and after photos (obvious) not contrived but photos highlight the difference between where I used Provilan Clean Universal Cleaner and alcohol cleaner (no bacterial regrowth with universal cleaner).

Fantastic products, really impressed with how well they clean. We have switched from using hard chemical cleaning products on air conditioning systems to probiotic cleaners. Our team and clients are happy with the results, no more harsh smells and better for the environment

Probiotic Universal Cleaner Concentrate

What a fabulous product! I originally bought for cleaning the cat litter trays as it is low odour and not off putting for the cats. Really cleans the litter trays and has kept them odour free, I only have to wash them a couple of times a week with Universal instead of daily as with other products. So pleased with it and I am now using Universal in the bathroom, kitchen and on the floors. Initially I was doubtful about how effective it would be for removing tea stains etc from a white enamel sink but the results are amazing. The sink, work surfaces and floors have never been so sparkly. I’ve used it on stainless steel cutlery and it looks like new!

Customer photo review of Probiotic Universal Cleaner Concentrate

I use the universal cleaner on my rats cage and ferret room. I like the fact there are no nasties in the cleaner especially as rats are prone to respiratory issues and cleaners, candles, air fresheners are renowned for causing some of these issues.

Anna S. 5/5 Verified

Probiotic Universal Cleaner Concentrate

What can I use this universal cleaner for?

This versatile cleaner is great for almost any hard surface, indoors and out. Use it on surfaces, kitchens, bathrooms, windows, mirrors, tiles, plastic, patios, bins, kennels, artificial grass, garden furniture and even your car. It removes dirt, odours, and organic build-up while being gentle on you, your pets and the environment.

How do I dilute the concentrate for everyday cleaning?

It’s simple and economical. Add 5–10ml (about half a capful) of concentrate to 1 litre of warm tap water in a spray bottle. One litre of concentrate makes up to 200 bottles, so you save money while reducing plastic waste and chemical exposure. Use the diluted solution within one month and the open concentrate bottle within six months for best results.

How does this cleaner actually work?

It uses natural probiotics, good bacteria from plants, that break down organic dirt, allergens, and odour-causing molecules. These helpful microbes clean deep into surfaces and keep working for up to three days after use, giving you longer-lasting freshness and better hygiene without harsh chemicals.

Is it safe to use around pets and children?

Yes, completely. It’s hypoallergenic, toxin-free and safe for homes with children and animals. Unlike chemical cleaners, it won’t release harmful fumes or leave behind residues that might irritate sensitive skin or paws. It’s a safer, healthier option for your whole household.

Are there any surfaces I shouldn’t use it on?

Yes, this cleaner isn’t suitable for very delicate or porous surfaces like marble or bluestone. For those, we recommend our Probiotic Floor Cleaner or Probiotic Surface Cleaner instead. Always patch test if you’re unsure, especially on natural stone or specialty finishes.
