Promotes Healthy, Natural Wound Healing

LUCAA+ Pet Probiotic Pet Wound Care (now called Dermo Care) promotes healthy healing of broken skin and hot spots. This easy-to-use spray harnesses the skin-loving benefits of ‘good’ bacteria (probiotics) to support a speedy recovery for your pet’s minor wounds.

Gently and effectively cleans wounds and supports the healing process for dogs, cats, rabbits, horses and all other animals:

  • Facilitates minor wound healing and recovery.
  • Balances the skin microbiome.
  • Increases skins natural resistance.
  • Cleans away organic soils that can cause infection.
  • Prevents inflammation and infections.
  • Natural ingredients.
  • Vet approved, scientifically proven probiotic formula.
  • PETA certified – vegan and cruelty-free.

Read our case studies to find out how a vet used the spray for dog and cat bites: Probiotic Pet Wound Cleaner Case Studies – Dog and Cat Bites.

But this clever spray is not just for vets! You can use it safely at home to clean minor wounds including cuts, abrasions and hotspots. The spray is especially good for cleaning outdoor grazes because the helpful probiotics remove the organic soil and dirt.

Read our news post to discover why probiotics are the skin microbiome’s greatest ally: Surface Probiotics – the Microbiome in a Bottle

Increases Your Pet’s Natural Resistance to Infection

This natural pet wound care spray is enriched with healthy ‘good’ (probiotic) bacteria, sourced from plants. These helpful probiotics balances the local microflora in and around the wound by integrating healthy bacteria into the affected environment.

They work in a safe and mechanical way to inhibit, push back and replace the potentially harmful (pathogenic) bacteria that cause infections. They do this until there is no further pathogenic activity in the wound. This reduces the risk of bacterial infection, promotes healing and can also reduce the need for antibiotics.

Cleaning wounds with our pet wound cleaner spray reduces the risk of potentially dangerous infections such as MRSA in pets. Staphylococci bacteria occur naturally on the skin around your pet’s nose, ears and anus. They do not usually damage healthy skin providing they stay outside of the body. However, they can cause serious infections including Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) if they enter the body via wounds or eczema.

In addition, this LUCAA+ Probiotic Pet Wound Care is a true innovation that does not cause harmful bacteria to mutate and develop resistance (antimicrobial resistance). This helps to protect the effectiveness of antibiotics.

Wear gloves and use clean dressings. Shave the hair around the wound if necessary. Clean the wound with warm water and gently remove any scabs. Dab carefully to dry. Shake bottle before use. Close the wound if necessary, then lightly spray with LUCAA+ Probiotic Pet Wound Care. Apply a non-stick dressing or bandage if required. Use twice daily until the wound shows signs of healing, then reduce to once daily.

IMPORTANT: Always consult a vet if in any doubt or if symptoms persist. Read our Open Letter to Vets for further information.

I said I would let you know how things are going, and I have to say really good. The fur on Hugo’s tail and leg has grown back completely. (Note from Ingenious Probiotics: Hugo has terrible allergies as well as a genetic skin issue. Alison used LUCAA+ Probiotic Wound Care as part of a holistic environmental approach, including our probiotic floor cleaner, laundry wash, odour remover and allergy care. If your dog has similar allergy issues, get in touch for more information or find your local stockist today!)

Shiloh is a dog beset with just about every allergy the 21st century has to offer. He is a constant work in progress for a multitude of conditions through the ever wonderful and personal support of Anita Wedge at ‘Pets n Potions’ in Wolverhampton.

Sadly my “boy” developed interdigital cysts issues on his paws. The front paws are now under control and in a satisfactory condition (but not cured!) using a combination of herbal, prescription drug and Immunotherapy treatments.

However, this is not the same for the rear paws. The rear paw cysts were initially on the surface only, but could not be successfully treated. One has grown to a massive 3.5cm, causing immense discomfort. Recently, the condition progressed to the underside pads. This caused incredible swellings which ultimately burst and created ulcers – horrible, crater-like deep wounds for Anita and me to try to heal. This is not a quick repair as you can imagine and has left poor Shiloh needing strong pain relief whilst we try to restore his mobility etc…

About 6 weeks ago “Wedgie” (now my hero!) called me to tell me about her wonderful discovery of LUCAA+ probiotic pet products… a Wound Care spray in particular. We thought we would try it on these dreadful lesions – spraying twice daily to start, then reducing to once daily if improvement occurred – to see if it would “help.”

On August 13th, whilst attending the vets for a routine check, the larger of the two rear paw cysts suddenly burst. I was left to deal with it, so when I got home, I worked away, bathing with salt water and drying the area before spraying with LUCAA+ Pet Probiotic Wound Care Spray.

These next two images were taken two days apart in August 22… WOW you have got to be saying! True story ???

Next up …. Between 18- 20th August Shiloh suffered a further unexpected set back when the other much larger rear cyst burst, leaving an almost irreparable set of twin ulcerated holes. These were a different challenge, but Anita and I tried again, and here’s where we are….

    Today Sept 6th

One great man once said “I BELIEVE” …. I am definitely of the same thinking … it’s almost a miracle… I am speechless ?

My Norfolk terrier had a mast cell tumour removed from her foreleg just above her paw. A very tricky place and vulnerable to infection. I used this stuff daily and the operation wound healed cleanly and quickly, about 7 days earlier than estimated. So pleased! I’m also using it daily, in conjunction with the Allergen Free spray (plus the dog shampoo and universal cleaner round the house) to help my poor little Yorkie x poodle who has had a flare up of his many sensitivities and chews his paws until they are red and bleeding.. This spray has helped reduced the extent of the damage to his paws, and helped them heal.

  4. Vicky Peel (verified owner)

I used this when my little terrier had a tumour removed from his chest – the vet commented on how well it had healed when he had his stitches out. Forty-eight hours ago I noticed a stye on his eyelid – I’ve been wiping it with this 3x a day and this evening, it’s just a scab. Highly recommend this product – now wondering if it’s ok for human use?

Hi Vicky – thanks so much for your review, we are so pleased you had such good results for your terrier. Unfortunately the spray is currently only licensed for animal use (although we will be adding probiotic shampoo and shower gel for humans to the range soon, so maybe one day!)
