The active ingredient is plant-sourced ‘good’ bacteria (probiotics). These helpful probiotics enhance water quality biologically. They safely consume organic waste, sludge and mud, as a natural food source. They restore a healthy microflora balance that supports the well-being of fish, plants and other aquatic life.

The probiotics also rebalance the chemical values of nitrates, phosphates and oxygen in the water: They stop the dangerous nitrification process and convert toxic nitrites into safe nitrates. They reduce ammonia and also decompose and dilute phosphorus. This makes wastewater management easier as there is less phosphorus requiring disposal.

They also reduce the spread of disease-causing bacteria through the natural process of bio-competition.

The Natural Fish Tank Water Cleaner

TERRAA+ Probiotic Water Purifier is ideal for freshwater, saltwater and tropical indoor aquariums, heated and non-heated. It is particularly beneficial for coral, which is sensitive to water quality. See the different instructions below.

If you are cleaning the aquarium itself and the glass, LUCAA+ Probiotic Pet Stay Cleaner and EVAA+ Probiotic Universal Cleaner are both pet safe alternatives to chemical cleaners.

Note: TERRAA+ Probiotic Water Purifier is not currently recommended for fish that are bred for consumption.

Instructions

The easy-to-use, powder formula diffuses into the water slowly for longer lasting results.

Two stage treatment for outdoor ponds:

1. One off booster treatment to start: Hand sprinkle (to promote quick distribution of the probiotics) 1kg of Water Purifier per each m3 (1000 litres) of water. Apply to the surface where it is most contaminated.
2. Maintain with 50g – 100g of Water Purifier per m3 (1000 litres) of water once a week.

Two stage treatment for aquariums:

1. Start with a booster treatment for three consecutive days: Hand sprinkle 100g of Water Purifier per each m3 (1000 litres) of water. (i.e. 300g of Water Purifier over three days per 1000 litres of water).
2. Maintain with 50g of Water Purifier per m3 (1000 litres) of water once a week.

Note: Switch off UV as this will kill the probiotics. However, we recommend keeping the UV on as recommended when introducing new fish (suspend the probiotic treatment during this time). If you have any queries, please contact us.
